LOL ! This bag of wind guarantees that J. D. is going to win the cup race there ! We'll see about that ! If he is going to carp on anything, he should be making a show about the tires that Lagano had on tonight ?

Agreed. that kind innovations has been going on for a very very long time. It's part of the sport. You don't have to like it but, the majority of racers have been part of innovations from time to time. If it passes inspections so be it. It's up to the officials to find it.

There's another post on this below. It isn't new tech and it's not illegal. Based on the way everything unusual is immediately illegal these days, it should be. However it is not.

Yes, that's all about maximizing off track measurements. If you hit that point racing, you are gonna have a bad day

Why not just go back to the wedge cars? What's the point of having all sorts of complex body rules and measurements only to allow them to transform into "wedge cars" when they are out on the track? Kinda seems stupid and pointless. At least the wedge cars didn't look like they had been through an F4 tornado and gotten twisted.

They are wedge cars before they gas up. Then it gets worse. There are very few body rules. Simple rules that were once the gospel, such as convex roofs and roofs mounted flat, would greatly reduce downforce.
