Does the spring location, behind or ahead of the axel tube, have an impact on load stick numbers? Shock location is behind the axle tube per rules for an IMCA Stock Car. Last year's car was spring behind and we had about 1,400 lbs of load at 2". This year's car is spring ahead and it's just over 1,000. To get more load, should we go to a softer spring or add spring rate? Thanks for the input.
Make sure you are correlating wheel load at the same travel from car to car. Making spring travel and load the same may not result in the same wheel load, which is what ultimately matters.
