Thinking of CIRF today
Although I haven't heard from him in awhile I hope and pray he is still with us but, I'm thinking of him because I know he loved the Indy 500.
-
I’m with you kidrock, thanks for reminding all of us.

Pretty cool y’all……Monaco this morning was kind of background noise, the 500 is the kind of open wheel race CIRF would talk about, the crazy crowds and Indy vibe etc…..Good Times.
Where is the move over flag when you need it?????

No bout a doubt it that the old CIRF guy will be pulling for Larson to win the World 600 on up ! !
-
This is for you CIRF.
On a side note, when the winner of today’s Indy 500 was growing up racing karts, (Joey as he was known to us) we raced with him at New Castle Motor Sports park. At the time, never in a million years did I think when they barrowed my seat jig and I helped them put in a seat in the kart, which they went on to win the race that day, a 3 hour endurance race --- that I would be helping a future Indy 500 winner.
CIRF would love that story, here’s to you CIRF, CHEERS and a beer.

And kidrock, CIRF, would have loved the Little 500 last night. It was won by an 18yr old rookie, Jake Trainor, that had never seen the high banks of Anderson Speedway, and was in his second race in a sprint car. The race was very-very good. Add it to your bucket list. He also won in a midget on Friday night at IRP, he’d never seen that track either.

Lurker very cool story. If he is still with us I'm sure he was at that race last night and yes I bet he loved it. I will have to keep my eye out for Jake sounds like he might be one to watch in the future.

Last lap pass for the win.
Actually those figures were for last year, this year will be higher.

If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention!

Lurker my guess is CIRF did not like the end of the 500. He thought when Nascar went to the overtime it was gimmicky and always told me at least in Indy they don't do that but, yesterday they came close to that by red flagging the race the second time.
-
And I was hoping for the red. CIRF would be mad at me. hahaha
