A fact that has somehow become even more obvious over the last few months is that Republican voters truly adore Donald Trump. At the beginning of the year, there appeared to be a strong chance the party’s voting base could be weaned off its cult-worship relationship with the 45th president and reattached to a more reliable, coherent, and less criminally implicated presidential nominee like Ron DeSantis. As that prospect has waned, despair has set in especially deep for a specific cohort: the anti-anti-Trumpers — conservative Republicans who desperately wish Trump were not their party’s leader, but if he is, will ultimately devote most of their energy to attacking his critics.

The anti-anti-Trumpers dreamed that their yearslong humiliation of having to run interference for a man they loathed was about to end. Now they must face up to the likelihood of devoting at least the next 15 months, and possibly more than five years, to insisting Trump’s multitudinous crimes are no worse than things done by Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer, and so on.

Who would force them once again into such a mortifying position? Many of the anti-anti-Trumpers have identified the culprit for Trump’s hammerlock on the primary. It is the Democrats.
    More here.

All the secret service has to do is protect his life. The federal government has such a place is in Florence Colorado. The cells are carved out of the side of the mountain. It is set up so that convicted felons to not come in contact with one another. This is where El Chapo Guzman is incarcerated at. Disgrace 45 terrorist actions are carving out his cell on side of the mountain.

If it’s union workers building the cell it will most likely be subpar, fall apart after a few years and whoever they put in it will walk out while the union guards are on lunch…..just a guess.

Trump will never serve time. Never. I’m ready to double down with Barbecueboy. If you are so convinced that Trump will do time, have the ball$ and take the bet.

The judge assigned Tuesday to handle special counsel Jack Smith's 2020 election case against former President Donald Trump poured thousands of dollars into Barack Obama's campaign coffers, records show.

Trump faced an indictment at the hands of a federal grand jury in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday on four new charges related to his alleged efforts to challenge the results of the 2020 presidential election and incite the Jan. 6 riot on Capitol Hill in 2021. U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, who will handle the case, was an Obama appointee in 2014 and contributed roughly $4,300 to his presidential campaign and victory fund combined between 2008 and 2012, according to campaign finance disclosures reviewed by the Washington Examiner.

You gentleman are forgetting one fact. When you become a convicted felon, you lose a lot of your rights. The federal government gives the Ex-president the secret service protection. The government will still be giving him protection because he will be in their custody in a government federal facility. If he's mad because he lost his secret service, he shouldn't of have committed a crime against our government. He will be safe in a federal penitentiary, and they will make sure of it. He might be Bubba's b!tch but he'll be okay. If you don't like doing the time don't commit the crime.

If I read it correctly myself, It has to be the Secret Service for the protection, not a (per say) Federal Penitentiary guard. Again, I don’t see Trump serving time, or the Secret Service standing outside his cell.

You ready to take the double down bet?

You’ve gullibly bought into all of this anti-anti hate Trump crap, hook line and sinker. You’re such a gullible fool you can’t get the hook out of your mouth. Trump feeds off off, loves, all of this media attention that he’s getting ---- what did he say? One more indictment and he has the Election sown up. Paraphrasing that is.

    Gullible is as gullible does.

‘These people are diehard’: Iowa Trump supporters shrug off indictments - https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...-2024-election

Many in the state see prosecution of Trump as a Democratic political move – and they say it will backfire

    Chris McGreal in Cresco, Iowa

From his corner of rural Iowa, Neil Shaffer did more than his fair share to put Donald Trump in the White House and to try to keep him there.

Shaffer oversaw the biggest swing of any county in the US from Barack Obama to Trump in 2016, and increased the then president’s share of the vote four years later. But the chair of the Howard county Republican party is not enthusiastic at the prospect of yet another Trump presidential campaign, and he blames the Democrats for driving it.

“Honestly, the Democrats are shooting themselves in the foot with these prosecutions,” he said. “Why is Trump doing so well? Because people feel like they are piling on him. If this is the Democrats’ effort to make him look bad, it hasn’t. It’s probably going to make him the [Republican] nominee and, honestly, he may win the general election again. And then whose fault would it be?”

After pleading not guilty on Thursday to federal charges over his attempts to steal the 2020 presidential election, Trump denounced the indictment as “a persecution of a political opponent”.

“If you can’t beat him, you persecute him or you prosecute him,” he said.

There are plenty who buy that line in Iowa and the rest of Trump-sympathetic America.
With Trump likely to spend a good part of the next year in one courtroom or another, after being indicted in New York, Florida and Washington on an array of charges and with more expected in Georgia before long, his supporters are more than willing to believe it is a plot to keep their man out of the White House.

One of them is Tom Schatz, a Howard county farmer on Iowa’s border with Minnesota.

“They’re bringing the charges against Trump so he can’t run against Biden. Biden is so (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) crooked. We’ve never had this kind of (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) in this United States, ever,” he said. “Democrats are gonna keep riding [Trump’s] ass and bringing (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) up against him. They don’t quit. They just don’t like him because he’s draining the swamp, and they don’t like that.”

Schatz, like many Trump supporters, sees the prosecutions as part of a pattern of establishment attacks, from Congress twice impeaching the then president to the FBI’s investigation into alleged ties between Russia and his 2016 campaign. The same message is hammered home on rightwing talk radio stations that are often the background to the working day in rural America.

On the day of Trump’s arraignment, Buck Sexton, a former CIA analyst on AM 600 WMT in Iowa, was energetically telling his listeners, without irony, that the prosecutions undermined confidence in the electoral system.

“We are up against something we have never dealt with before,” he said. “They don’t care how reckless this is, the Democrats. It doesn’t bother them the disruption that they are doing to faith in the judicial system, faith in our elections, something that he’s talked about all the time. How can you have a fair election when one candidate has soon to be four criminal trials against him? Specifically timed to happen during the election.”

(read the rest of the article in the link provided above)
If this keeps up --- ss12 and the rest of anti-anti Trump hating gullible fools are going to mess around and get Trump elected again.
