It sounds to me like they're all being forced to vote for it for money only. Why can't they just pay the top four the same amount without resorting to some contrived BS that could make a guy 1000 points behind the leader the champion? If they did, would they just go back to giving the fourth place guy peanuts?

Every driver including RTJ knew the points system when they signed the contract to race for Lucas Oil in 2023 at the beginning of the year. You don't see the drivers complaining about it, just some fans, even though it doesn't affect them.

They took the safe bet at the beginning of the season.

Watch FLO's recent video with the final 4 drivers, they're not as enthused about it now, other than Devin.

All fans have is the history. It's been distorted, just like in NASCAR.

Exactly. Taking the check doesn't mean you like the work.

the lucas format penalizes a driver like thornton for having a great year...with that being said...they knew that before going in so they dont really have an argument...i know that was one of the reasons bobby went with woo...but there is an idiot on here that never posts anything with any relevance...only here to spew trash...he will say bobby is scared of the lucas boys...bonefied idiot he is

I am NOT a fan of the format BUT BRS put the money out to do this and the 4th place finisher still gets what the champion would have gotten without the newly infused money. So other than being called the champion they don't lose anything financially.

It is what it is. Traditions change all the time for the sake of the dollars. And obviously, according to all the social media chatter, they all need as many of those that they can get.

I hope all the guys return to their tours in 2024 but i dont think it happens without the sanctions drastically changing their $$$ structures.

I really have no info on any of this but I don't think that D.Erb jr or Mcready , will be back on a national tour next year and I don't look for Best to keep Tyler Erb on tour.

    Mastersbilt nailed that one.

History is important, I love statistics, history, etc.. That stuff is important to the sport, this format only hurts it IMO. I know, the money, the money, the money...
