Dennis Erb, Jr. Kicks Off 2024 Season in Sunshine Nationals; Starts Quest for Second Outlaws Title

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Following a two month off-season, Dennis Erb Racing is slated to kick off their 2024 campaign later today, January 18 in the ‘Sunshine Nationals’ opener at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida. The World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series will preside over a trio of events this weekend at the sprawling Daytona Beach-area speedplant and the lid lifter later tonight will shell out a $10,000 top prize. Friday’s show will pay $12,000 to the winner, while Saturday’s finale will boast a $15,000 payday. Catch every lap of the competition this weekend at VSP by watching on DIRTVision.

From there and weather pending, Dennis Erb, Jr. will enter thirteen Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series showdowns from January 25-February 10 to continue his Speedweeks journey. These thirteen races will be held at four different ovals in the states of Georgia and Florida: Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, Georgia, Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida, All-Tech Raceway in Ellisville, Florida, and East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida. Each Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series battle will be broadcast to subscribers of FloRacing.

The #28 team will then return to Volusia Speedway Park from February 12-17 for the 53rd edition of the ‘DIRTcar Nationals.’ The DIRTcar Super Late Models will take center stage during the first three nights, as a $7,000 winner’s check will be up for grabs on that Monday and Tuesday before Wednesday’s program that boasts a trio of features paying $5,000 to win each. The World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series then roars into town to preside over a pair of $12,000 to win contests on Thursday and Friday, along with Saturday’s grand finale that pays a whopping $20,000 to the winner. Each of these six races will be shown LIVE on DIRTVision.

Dennis will look to get off to a fast start in 2024 - particularly in the six World of Outlaws Late Model Series shootouts. The Carpentersville, Illinois ace, who won the 2022 series title and finished eighth in last year’s heated point standings, has committed to run the national tour full-time again this year.
