I set the old Betamax up to record East Bay last night while I was out…only to wake up this morning and read that they rained out. You have no idea how much wear and tear it is on my last Betamax tape to be recording over my Dirt Track Highlights 1982 week in and week out.

They did something similar to this in 21 when we went. We did not stay for the qualifying afterwards. People bitch when they don't make up a show, and then they bitch when they at least try to make it right by doing something like this.

I don't think anyone is complaining. I am sure everyone is happy they are going to run the heats and Feature makeup. The qualifying make up tonight is fine, but it is also kind of humorous. I am not sure how many fans are going to stick around for it after the feature. Only true diehards LOL

My only gripe with multiple shows on one day is it's usually a clean sweep for whoever is on that day. Other than that, I don't mind an excuse to sit on the couch a little a longer.

They're probably not expecting many to stick around and rightfully so. Kudos to them for doing it after the feature.
I hope nobody's complaining. They're getting extra racing Wed and Thurs night for no additional charge.

They found a way to make-up a lost night of racing to rain and maybe spread out enough to keep the track from locking down with rubber... seems like a win-win to me.
