Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Stop at Senoia Raceway Succumbs to Inclement Weather

(SENOIA, GEORGIA) Fresh off a successful opening night for the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series presented by Coltman Farms Racing and fueled by Sunoco at Waycross Motor Speedway on Thursday and a subsequent rain-out on Friday at Swainsboro Raceway, more inclement and wet weather has doomed Saturday’s stop at Senoia Raceway. A $10,053 payday was scheduled to be on the line tomorrow at the Senoia, Georgia oval, but lingering rain showers and more on the way have canceled the program. No reschedule information is available at this time, but both series and track officials will work together in hopes of finding a suitable make-up date.

The miniseries will now take the next several weeks off before sanctioning a pair of big events in the Volunteer State on March 29-30. Up next will be a visit to I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee on that Friday and a $10,053 winner’s check will be up for grabs. On that Saturday, the dirt-slinging action will quickly shift to the bad-fast Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee. The annual running of the ‘Lil Bill Corum Memorial’ will once again shell out $21,000 in first place prize money. Ethan Dotson, of Bakersfield, California, will bring the Spring Nationals point lead into the Tennessee two-step by virtue of his $7,553 triumph last night at Waycross!
