Lucas Oil Ralph Latham 5-4-24 Postponed.

I was expecting to find the results of this race this morning, but was instead stunned to find the race had been postponed. Having checked the area weather and radar and not seeing any rain or rain odds being high yesterday. Anyone on hear live near this track to add some input on this?

I can understand HIGH chances of rain affecting big events, but as far as I can see, that was not the case.

Lucas events draw large crowds as a rule. Wonder how many people actually drove to the track and suddenly were saddened by this surprize? Most people usually call the track, but I'm sure some didn't.

If rains during the week had something to do with this decision, there was no mention of it.

Oh well, they say it will be reschuduled. My guess is it will be combined with the North/South week.

I was camping about three miles from Florence speedway, and we had heavy rain Saturday morning.

This race is now cancelled (Ralph Latham Memorial) and will not be reschuduled.
