We've been approached by an engine builder looking for someone to produce a Toyota 22RE block that can be run at 96- 98mm. bore size. They are wanting to build bigger displacement engines than they can currently.
Is there enough interest in block's like this to sell 50 a year? Would any of you be interested in a block like this?
Using a factory 89mm. stroke crank:
92mm. bore by 89mm. stroke = 2367cc.
94mm. bore by 89mm. stroke = 2471cc.
96mm. bore by 89mm. stroke = 2577cc.
97mm. bore by 89mm. stroke = 2631cc.
98mm. bore by 89mm. stroke = 2686cc.
Using LC Engineering's 94mm. Stroker crank:
92mm. bore by 94mm. stroke = 2500cc.
94mm. bore by 94mm. stroke = 2610cc.
96mm. bore by 94mm. stroke = 2721cc.
97mm. bore by 94mm. stroke = 2779cc.
98mm. bore by 94mm. stroke = 2837cc.
Using a Factory crank destroked by off-set grinding to 2.000" Chevy journal:
92mm. bore by 87mm. stroke = 2314cc.
94mm. bore by 87mm. stroke = 2416cc.
96mm. bore by 87mm. stroke = 2520cc.
97mm. bore by 87mm. stroke = 2572cc.
98mm. bore by 87mm. stroke = 2626cc.
Using a LC Stroker crank off-set ground to 2.000" Chevy journal:
92mm. bore by 91.5mm. stroke = 2434cc.
94mm. bore by 91.5mm. stroke = 2541cc.
96mm. bore by 91.5mm. stroke = 2651cc.
97mm. bore by 91.5mm. stroke = 2706cc.
98mm. bore by 91.5mm. stroke = 2762cc
Using a LC Stroker crank off-set ground to 2.000" Chevy journal:
92mm. bore by 96.5mm. stroke = 2567cc.
94mm. bore by 96.5mm. stroke = 2680cc.
96mm. bore by 96.5mm. stroke = 2796cc.
97mm. bore by 96.5mm. stroke = 2853cc.
98mm. bore by 91.5mm. stroke = 2912cc.
