I was hoping those heated grandstands wouldn't be needed but it's beginning to look like they will be much needed!
-
I was watching that AFC championship game and realized that there are people that are not too bright and will go watch a football game at 0 degrees. Since I like dirt racing better than football i'll be there if they have to run with chains on the tires. I hope they don't have to bring out the jet drier to warm the clay.

whats the extend forcast for thurs?
-
Still to early to tell, but looks like a small chance for a little rain. And it will be cold. Don't expect it to be much above freezing when the sun goes down.
Crew Chief "Tip of the day":
Most handling problems can be solved by adjusting the screw-ball. It can be difficult to fine tune at times. Explaining yourself loudly and striking it on top of the helmet with a dead blow hammer usually works well.
-
The daytime high is close to 60* and a low of 36*. We are looking at about a 3 hour show at most. Low is projected close to midnight. I think it will be all good. Trailer is loaded and ready to go. See ya'll Thursday.
-
shoot 36 degrees will be like a summer day compared to what we have been stuck in , lookin forward to making my first trip to screven from the cold state of PA

February 9 till 11, 2012 - 2nd Annual Winter Freeze
-
I just got off the phone with Tim McCreadie and as long as he and teammate Vic Coffey can get out of the shop in time - they both plan to be at Screven.
-
Good deal Kelley thanks for keeping everyone updated on cars that are coming. I can say this much this is a must see show for any race fan. Some of the best Super Late Models and for sure some of the best Sprint Cars drivers under a one night show.

5 days left!!!! I just seen my local weather, which is also local for Screven and its a high around 60 and low in the mid 30s. The rain chances are for Tues and Wed. Work will not go by fast enough this week, LOL.

I just got an update from gorj and The Lee "Leebo" Kindred Fast Time Award is now up to $325. Anyone interested in adding to that please contact me or gorj on here.

Bob Robertson is from Evan, GA.
Scott Shirey is from Gaston, SC.
-
I'll help to...
Phil Pittman is #3 from Vidalia, GA
Brian Reese is from Sharpsburg, GA

Anyone got any idea what Redd will be serving at the concession. Since this race is early in the season, will he have the full menu.
If this is your first trip to Screven plan on eating at the track. Reasonably priced, a huge menu (normally), speedy service, plenty of room to sit, & tasty.
