    Default 2.3 head question.

im fixing to order a complete brand new head/intake combo, and was wondering who is the best in your opinion to use, and details as to why.

ill be running between 3/8 and 4/10 mile tracks mainly

    dirt oval

    full port and polish
    roller or solid
    add 100 lbs for roller
    500cfm carb..
    lb per cc weight rule

is a roller worth as much as the 100lb? the guys winning around here are non-roller, but i dont wanna run 2nd.. i wanna win..

johnson heads (steve johnson i beleive outta south carolina)
leagon race heads (outta south carolina, tons of guys around here use him)
boport race heads (cali.. he post on here alot, smart guy)
    jbv heads (super knowledgable)

I have had a BoPort head with a custom roller cam w/ matching intake and carb spacer and can say that Bo knows his stuff. All I can say is the power band was beyond belief and I was easily out motoring a guy who had a Johnson head. Joe w/ JBV I would bet is the best of the choices but I don't think he is doing 4 bangers any more so Bo is definitley for the money IMO the best choice. Flow on intake side well over 230cfm, their is like 3 maybe 4 people who can do that w/ these heads. Pretty much all he does is the ford 4 cylinder stuff and he knows these heads better then just about anyone. If you use his stuff you will get some dang good stuff. Plus he has excellent customer service and almost always answers his phone and always returns your calls immediatly if he misses them. By the way I put I took the roller cam out and put a solid lifter cam in and got awesome results. Shoot me a PM and I will tell you which cam I used and I promise you won't be disapointed.
