East Bay night 4
I have no birthday parties to attend so I think I will be doing updates tonight.
One of the other threads mentioned that Billy Moyer, Sr. has arrived so we'll see if he can challenge the Bloomquist Race Cars dominance.
-
what happen last night? looks like Chinn maybe lost it and took half the field with him
-
The internet broadcast never really had a good shot of that wreck. They did have the first one in which it looked like O'Neal may have gotten into Neat and spun him. That one had several cars involved as well.
The wreck you mentioned took out some cars but they weren't filming in that area. Maybe someone who was there saw it.

The Johnson's will be racing tonight, Davey will be debuting a new number and color scheme.
-
Ben Shelton just posted on Facebook: I'm pretty sure I've now seen it all....an airboat is being used to try and dry the track here at East Bay
-
@dustinjarrett Cooler and overcast today at East Bay, but it looks like the rain might miss us.

This is from Tyler Redd!ck's Facebook page: Thank you to everyone! We appreciate the support and wishes you give. Hope we can get it done again real soon!

@OVDTR The morning rains here at East Bay have passed. It is still very overcast. Billy Moyer and a few other haulers pulled in late last night

@dustinjarrett 66 cars signed in here at East Bay...and it has just started to sprinkle

Our twittering friends can't seem to decide if it's going to rain or not.
I just checked the radar and there seems to be a patch of rain coming through but it doesn't seem like it would last a long time.

Photographic evidence of the previously mentioned air boat dryer.

No word on whether the 'Intimigator' is driving the airboat or not.

Turns out I am going to be away for a bit. Something unexpected came up. Should be back by time for the feature if they are able to have it.
If someone else want to pick up here you can follow @OVDTR on twitter and repost here. He gives plenty of updates.

Rain Postpones Tonight's Events from East Bay Raceway Park
Tampa, FL (February 10, 2011) - Officials of East Bay Raceway Park and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series have postponed tonight's events from the 35th Annual DART Winternationals Presented by Magnaflow. Tonight's $10,000 win event is rescheduled for Saturday Morning, February 12th. Hold on to your armband from today, armbands that were issued today are good for tomorrow night. Monday Night's events have also been rescheduled due to rain. The $5,000 to win event will be made up tomorrow, February 11th. Registration for that event will begin at 9am, armbands will be resold tomorrow morning at 10:00am.
The drivers' meeting is scheduled for 10:30am and hotlaps at 11am. Grandstands will also open at 11am. There will be a full show including Red Buck Cigars Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and the 30-Lap Feature. Tomorrow's event will be run scheduled as normal with Hotlaps beginning at 5pm. ALL OF THIS IS WEATHER PERMITTING.
With the track just about ready for hot laps, another rain hit East Bay and forced cancellation of Thursday’s event. Even the efforts of an airboat, it became impossible to get the track race ready. However, with 2 dates to make-up, the following schedule is in effect. For the first time in 35 years of Winternationals, East Bay will run a Double-Double. Monday’s rain out will be made up Friday at noon with Friday’s regular show to follow at 7:00 p.m. Thursday’s event will be run Saturday at noon with the big $12,000 to win 75-Lap Feature with racing at 7:00 p.m. Saturday night. For further information, check the website www.eastbayracewaypark.com or please feel free to contact the office at 813-677-7223.
