    The Pittsburgh Steelers won their 4th Super Bowl ring by defeating the Los Angeles Rams 31-19 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Ca.

    The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Baltimore Orioles to capture the World Championship a few months earlier.

    Ron & Sharon Kimble promoted Elkins Speedway
    Richard Skidmore continued to be Elkins Speedways loyal flagman.
