    Default crank coupler imca

    when using bert trans. do you have to have the steel coupler or can use the aluminum?

    I use the aluminum because its not so hard on the input shaft splines of the transmission. They wear out faster than steel but they are cheaper to replace than an input shaft also.

    aluminum one must be ok then, didn't say in the rules, how long do you get out of it before you have to replace yours?

    The engine idleing is what beats the coupler up but a couple of seasons usually.
