Impressive Win for Babb at Birkhofer's Home Court

If a racer enters the house where Birky lives, that driver must be on top of his game. Shannon Babb did just that and more. Both Birkhofer and Babb held the lead at various stages of the 50 lap $10K May Day Classic at West Liberty's big half mile. It was Babb that had a sizable lead over Birkhofer and Moyer when a late race caution brought the three drivers bumpers together. On the restart, Birky took control of the race and what seemed another win for the Muscatine Madman on his home court, Shannon Babb stepped up his game and beat Birkhofer to the white Flag and took the $10k out of Birky's hands. The stunning win was vintage Shannon Babb. Terrific race.

On lap 37 before the caution Babb Birkhofer and Moyer were all half a lap ahead of Shirley, who was the only other car on the lead lap at that point. Those 3 were wicked fast and put on a great show.
