Post Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series coming to Tazewell Speedway FRIDAY, June 3

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will once again make their annual return to Tazewell Speedway on Friday, June 3rd. The Toyota of Knoxville 75 is one of the longest running races with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. The race has been with the series since its first season and is one of the most popular stops on the tour.

This year's $10,000 to win race is expected to draw some of the top regional stars of dirt late model racing to go head-to-head with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series regulars.

Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, TN leads the series standings heading into Friday night's race. Jimmy Owens, Don O'Neal, Earl Pearson Jr, and Steve Francis are in the top 5 chasing Bloomquist. Brad Neat won last year's event.

Other drivers expected for the Toyota of Knoxville 75 are Chris Madden, Jonathan Davenport, Billy Ogle Jr., Vic Hill, Tommy Kerr, Steve Smith, and track record holder Jeff Wolfenbarger.

Also racing will be the modified streets, pure streets, and classic cars.

Tickets are $26 for adults, children 9 and under are free. Pit passes are $35. Pit gates open at 3:00 and grandstand gates open at 4:00. Racing will begin at 7:45.

Tazewell Speedway is located just two miles northwest of Tazewell, Tennessee. Going north on US 25-E, turn right and then left onto Bacchus Rd, and then 1.8 miles north, then .8 miles west and the race track is located on the left. This event is always a packed house event. We realize it is a work day for some, but suggest fans arrive as early as they can to avoid any possible congestion getting into the racetrack. Everyone did a great job with that last year.

Someone bumped up last year's thread, just wanted to make sure everyone saw the correct information.
