    Default half shaft problems

    i broke a half shaft/pv shaft at lasalle speedway last saturday i was wondering howto prevent it in the future?

    Right side I assume,check your suspension for loose or broken parts.Most likely the wheel is rolling over too much putting the cv joint into a bind.Also make sure the cv's are packed full of GOOD grease.Racing puts a lot of stress on them and they can produce a lot of heat causing the bearings to bind,seaze and fail.

    well it broke the pv shaft n the spindle

    FYI its a CV shaft, get a rebuilt one with a warranty from the local parts store. When it breaks again, go get another one. But DONT tell them its in a racecar! Adjust the RF so the top of the tire is leaning in towards the strut.
