Tim Fuller Gearing Up for Huge Labor Day Weekend in West Virginia and Pennsylvania

Watertown, NY (September 1, 2011) Tim Fuller and his Tim Fuller Racing Inc., team are ready to return to the Pennsylvania area after spending most of the month of August in the Midwest with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series (WoO).

The month started off at Shawano Speedway in Shawano, WI for a $10,000 to win WoO event. After timing in 16th of 37 cars entered and finishing third in his heat race, Fuller started the 50 lap feature event in the 12th spot. Tim worked his way up to the ninth slot before having to retire with motor issues with ten laps remaining in the event relegating him to a 19th place finish.

From Shawano, the WoO tour made their way to Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, WI for the $50,000 to win ‘USA Nationals’. A $5,000 to win Corn Belt Clash series event was first on the docket that saw Fuller finish sixth and seventh in his heat race and last chance race ending his evening early. A stout field of 54 cars was on hand for the ‘USA Nationals’ where Tim would time in 41st fastest and again finish sixth in his heat race. A faulty rear-end in the Last Chance Showdown would result in another disappointing night for the former WoO Rookie of the Year. The weekend ended with a trip to Independence Speedway in Independence, IA. Fuller’s luck looked to be turning around as he was eighth quick in time trials and finished second to 2010 UMP Summernationals Champion Jason Feger in his heat race lining him up eighth for the $10,000 to win feature event. Fuller was solidly in the top ten when 2011 WoO Rookie of the Year contender John Lobb lost the handle of his car on lap 20 collecting Tim McCreadie, Fuller, and Chad Simpson. Tim was able to continue for a few laps after the incident but pulled pit side on lap 25 giving him another disappointing finish of 18th.

After a weekend off, Fuller headed to Michigan for two more WoO series events on August 19 and 20. Winston Speedway in Rothbury, MI was a place that Fuller felt he had a strong chance of contending for the win. Tim was right as he timed in second quick in time trials and won his heat race over Jimmy Mars, Jason Feger, and Brady Smith putting him in the redraw. After drawing the fourth starting position, Fuller momentarily lost control of his BPG Racing, Integra Shocks sponsored Rocket Chassis and came to a stop bringing out the first caution of the event. Tim was forced to restart at the tail of the field and worked his way back up to a sixth place finish. The following night the tour stopped at Merritt Speedway in Merritt, MI for the second of two stops in the Great Lakes State. The night started off promising again as Fuller posted the ninth quickest time in time trials and again transferred to the feature event through his heat with a second place finish. Tim started sixth in the A-Main and ran in the top-ten most of the night but faded at the end coming home 12th in the final rundown.

‘We’re really looking forward to getting back into the Pennsylvania region,’ Fuller said from his Watertown, NY home. ‘We usually run fairly well in that area and most of the tracks in that area fit my style. Last time we were in PA we had a top five and a top ten so yeah, we’re looking forward to getting back down there. Hopefully we can get a couple solid finishes and gain some momentum heading into the end of the season. We need something to build on for next year.’

Tim Fuller and Tim Fuller Racing Inc., will be in action this Labor Day weekend at Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, WV for the ‘Black Diamond’ sanctioned by both Unified Force Race Championship (UFo) Series and WoO Series.
