    Default Ford Rear End???

I am building a new 4 cylinder and when I bought the car to start on the cage it has a 8.8 5 lug in it. What are you guys running? 7.5, 8 or 8.5 Is there any advantage or disadvantage to any of them and what would I need to covert this to 4 lug if this is the best one to have?
    Thanks

    if possible id find a 6 3/4 from a 1979 mustang..it is 4 lug and a direct swap,very lightweight.
No matter how hard you try...you cant fix stupid!!!

If you build it right...it will turn left!!!

The lightest weight possible they are all strong enough to hold up to what these motors put out. Its all about getting the rotating weight off.

i prefer the 8inch in a mustang. you can make your mounts so that you have an advantage over the 6.75, 7.5, and 8.8. all are strong but i have seen axles break on the 6.75 on rough tracks.
