Default anyone ever use a vacuum pump?

Thinking about runnin a vacuum pump? Anyone have any thoughts. Been researchin a lot and can't decide if I want to try it. Through talkin to couple of the manufacturers looks to gain anywhere from 20 to 30 horse on my 388 were building. I know ya need the right rings to make this work and since building new motor then no problem. Rules don't say anything about them, I just don't see anyone running one. What y'all think?
    Well it doesn't say that I can't

Dry sump motors can easily, Remember though a vaccum in the engine will pull dirt and grit into the engine and cause excessive wear and tear.

This is too funny!!! I have run a vacuum pump before on a wet sump 390 class! You have to limit the vacuum pressure. (I don't remember to what. 15/18?) you must drill the rod ends for more pin oiling and you can run low tension rings. You may need a oil catch can. We had around twenty horse increase. I had forgot about this! Drag racers do it all the time. Make sure you have your oil windage in order first!
