    Default oil pan gasket

    Does anybody know if anyone makes a one piece rubber oilpan gasket for large journal 2.3 block
    I have the smooth frt cover with the smooth oil pan rail but didnt know what to do at back of block

    just fill the grooved cap with silicone,let it set up,then assemble
    No matter how hard you try...you cant fix stupid!!!

    You can use the later model rubber with steel inserts when using studs. As to the rear cap groove, just fill it in with JB weld. Be sure to level it off carefully.
    Check with www.powerbyace.com for stepped studs for the early block with the 8mm to 6mm 4 corner studs.
