    Thanks to all for your input and help.

    There were two things:
    1) We were lean on the jets. As we started going larger the problem was not
    as bad.

    2) This from our good ole gas days:
    My friend called C&S and we did not have the advance locked.
    The distributor was put together by someone else and they had the springs/weights,
    and we just never thought of looking at that as a problem.
    Once they were taken out, the car idled a lot quicker.

    Once started we can stay consistent at 2500-3000 and after a minute or two, the car can
    idle.
