    Lake Cumberland Speedway Presents Full Racing Program on Saturday April 14

    Burnside, KY-April 8, 2012- Lake Cumberland Speedway track promoter Brandon Hardgrove and his staff at “Kentucky’s House of Hardcore Mayhem” will present a full racing program this Saturday April 14 with all five divisions set for competition.

    The April 14 event will see the Super Late Models racing for $1,000 to win in their 25 lap feature event. The Modified division will be in action racing for $600 to win in a 20 lap feature race, while the Super Dirt Stocks will be racing 15 laps for $300 to win (8 car minimum), with the Sportsman racing 12 laps for $250 to win (8 car minimum), and Front Wheel Drives racing for $100 in a 10 lap main event (8 car minimum). The Super Late Model, Modified, and Super Dirt Stock divisions will time trial, while the Sportsman and Front Wheel Drives will pill draw for heat race starting positions. All divisions will also have qualifying heats to set their respective divisions feature event line-up.

    Activities for the Saturday April 14 event will see the pit area and general admission area open at 4:00 p.m., with a mandatory drivers meeting at 6:00 p.m. Practice is set to begin at 6:30 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and green flag racing. For the April 14 event, general admission ticket prices will be $12 for adults, children ages 6 to 10 will be $5, while children ages 5 and under will be admitted free with a paid adult. A pit pass will cost $30.

    Also of note, the Super Late Model and Modified division drivers are going to be required to start using RACEceivers at Lake Cumberland Speedway, but they will not be required until the track points start up on Saturday May 5.

    Lake Cumberland Speedway last raced on April 7 and feature event winners included Dustin Neat of Dunnville, KY in Super Late Models, Russ Gabbert of Berea, KY in Modifieds, Keith Decker of Somerset, KY in Super Dirt Stocks, and Adam Gregory of Gray, KY in Front Wheel Drives.

    Lake Cumberland Speedway is located at 1 Racetrack Road, just outside of Burnside, KY, just past the entrance to General Burnside Island State Park. Brandon Hardgrove is the track promoter and presents dirt track racing entertainment on Saturday evenings. The track is located on Racetrack Road off of US Hwy. 127 South, only about five miles south of Somerset, KY.
