Kramer, Hamilton,Schrader and Rayburn CMC winners
The U.S. Race Gear Cincinnati Modified Championship presented by Gabbard's Mt. Orab Ford would see action kick off at Moler Raceway Park on Friday Night with $1000 up for grab. After a couple of restarts the race would go 30 laps without a caution and Joey Kramer would claim his 4th CMC win of the year at 3 different tracks. Devin Gilpin would come home 2nd with Matt Hamilton in 3rd. The 12th CMC win would move him into sole possesion of 3rd on the all time CMC career win list behind Hamilton and Gilpin. Kramer is now just a Brushcreek Motorsports Complex win away from claiming the Goodsleeve screenprinting 4 track challenge. Moler will once again kick off the action this coming weekend as the Modified winner will claim $2500.

At Florence Speedway Matt Hamilton, of Aurora, IN the 2011 Modified Track Champion appears to have regained his championship form. Matt took the lead on lap (5) from early race leader Kyle Schornick and held off the #112 of Billy Vaughan over the final (11) laps to capture his 3rd “A” Main feature of the season at Florence and his 4th CMC win of the year. Finishing 2nd was Vaughan, 3rd Shawn Tolson. The win would be CMC career win number 20 for Hamilton. The most by any driver. Florence is back in action Saturday with Grad Night

At Lawrenceburg Speedway, NASCAR driver Ken Schrader celebrated Ken Schrader night at the races back on April 28th. Unfortunately, the rain cancelled that race early, and Schrader said he would be back. He returned this past Saturday and schooled the field. He went out and dominated his heat race. He drew the third starting position for the 20 Lap Budweiser UMP Modified feature. On the first lap outside pole sitter, Dave Baldwin spun out in front of the field collecting several cars, including Schrader. With all the cars involved restarting from the tail, Scotty Kincaid would move up to start on the outside front row, alongside defending champion Derek Groomer. Kincaid was very impressive. He grabbed the lead away from Groomer, and battled Groomer lap after lap with Groomer only able to lead 1 lap out of the first 13. Behind the leaders, Schrader was clearly, the fastest car on the track. Schrader’s smooth drive was evident as he floated the car into the turns but would really gain his ground coming out of the turns and rocket down the straightaway. Kincaid did everything he could to hold off Schrader, but the NASCAR star was too strong. Schrader led the final 7 laps to win his first feature at Lawrenceburg, and his first in the CMC. Kincaid held on to second, followed by Groomer. The Modifieds return to Lawrenceburg on Monday May 28th alongside the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars.

At Brushcreek Motorsports Complex opening Night winner Jeremy Rayburn was back again and started on the inside pole with Jimmy Sticker on his outside. Quickly, Rayburn and Dave Jamison jumped out front. After a few cautions it seemed that Jamison was able to run down Rayburn but could not get to him in time. Jeremy Rayburn made it two in a row at Brushcreek and in the CMC. Following him across the line was Dave Jamison and Jimmy Stricker. Brushcreek will be off next weekend before returning to action on June 2nd.

Points will be updated later in the week!
