    Default falcon rear tailhousing seal

Hi looking to change out the rear tailshaft seal where drivershaft goes in. Is this an easy deal ? Is there a snap ring that holds the seal in ?

    any advice is appreciated. thanks

Very easy. Pull the retaining ring out. Pull the seal and reverse what u just did. Helps to punch a hole in the seal and hook it to pull it out. Be careful because the tailhousing is very soft aluminum. . We also put some grease on the seal so it slides in nicely.

thanks for the tip. looks like the retaining ring could be taken out with screwdrivers and then pop the seal out...

I will give it a shot. thanks !
