    Where is the best place to put water temp sending unit to get the most accurate reading?

    Beside the thermostat housing.
    Old enuf to know better, still too young to givadamm.

    in the head is where youll get best reading what i always herd...

    in the head will usually run 10 degrees hotter than the t-stat housing.

    While you are at it put in a water pressure gauge so you can tell when you have good temp at the sender but water is starting to drain out of the system. It only takes a couple laps under pressure for a race engine to push out all the water and burn out.

    This has saved me 20+ engines over 30 years of racing.
