That 525 rule should be called The Anti Ronnie Johnson Rule. Have you no shame?

Yeah these chev motors are fast! cost about ten grand and they beat the thirty grand aftermarket,so is that fair to the high dollar teams?

Give me a break. Why should an all aluminum 15* 386ci be given a 12 inch spoiler.

Spec motors still get a wing and a weight break?

They also have a steel block,362ci and 23* unported heads. They deserve a 12 inch spoiler when racing against 450ci 9* all aluminum motors.

Super late models should all have 8" spoilers. Weight is fine, but not the wing too.

Total BS.What is 50 pounds compared to 250 more hp.There is no reason the topnotch race teams can't have a spec motor in their arsenal if they think they are better.

If you want to have 4 cylinders race against 450ci all aluminum engines then they would need something to make up for the difference in hp.You think it could all be done with weight? Maybe the 4 cylinders could race at 1200 pound.See how ridiculous your argument is.

No it proves how ridiculous yours is. Super late models should not need help to compete. I like watching a good limited or crate race as well, but supers should all look the same. You want to compete at that level fine, leave your wing at the house.

Same logic leave your 850hp motors at home.Your obvisouly not a late model racer when you expect a 450ci 850 hp to compete even up with a steelblock 23* head 362ci engine.

So if I don't race I cant have an opinion, thanks for the info. Guess its good to know where your bread is buttered.

I never said I expected a spec to compete head up, although it would at a few places where Hp is not as important. I expect supers to be supers, sorry that ruffles your feathers.

Doesn't ruffle my feathers at all.I've been racing for 40years and I'm smart enough to know their is such a thing as handicapping different size engines in the same race.Anyone who expects a spec motor to race even up with a 450ci all aluminum is not real smart.
Race tracks have to try to get all the cars they can and not everyone can afford a 450ci 9* all aluminum engine.Local racing and regional racing has a much tougher deal trying to get WOO and Lucas cars to show up for a $3000.00 to win show.

Perhaps in your 40 years of racing your reading comprehension has suffered. Again I never said the motors were equal.

Its not like I'm the only person with this opinion. Ive heard lots of people who are held in pretty high esteem in this sport echo the same sentiments.

In the end I could give two sh!ts if we agree or not.

i think the argument here is if you have the most money you win. lol , if all the complaining keeps on about spoilers then they need to go back to weight rules and make these unlimited ci engines weigh 2500 pds , the weight break for a all steel or spec engine is irrelivant because most cant take advantage of the weight break.
