    Default esslinger oil restrictor

    Do they still sell these and whats the ooint of them never ran one pros and cons please???

    This is my opinion and what has shown results for me and others may vary. I think the oil restricting began 15 or 20 years ago because the cam lobes on rollers had great big oil holes in the lobes. You needed to restrict the oil to keep from pumping the pan dry and flooding the top end. Newer cams have smaller holes and restrict oil on their own. I would only run one with one of those older roller cams with the big holes. You'll know when you have one. Priming the oil pump without the valve cover on will throw oil in big streams all over the place.
