Default Straight bar from frame to liftbar

Working on a 20112009 blue/grey front and was wondering if anybody has messed with lengths with the bar going from the frame to the lift bar? Also what are the objects of theae changes? Thanks in advance

The only effect that bar has it if it is limiting the travel of the lift arm which it should not be doing. If it is it will come apart in a short time. It should be set to keep the arm off of the driveshaft during the lift and relax motions and that is all it is for.

    Very true!
Now, there were some GRT chassis that had the link bar to far forward and it would limit the movement and many would fail. The ideal place is farther back on the bar about where it would end up in the middle of the fulcrum of the lift arm. It is important to know if it is binding the motion or not.

Default frame to left bar measurement

center to center of lift bar brace should be around 15-1/4"
