Thread: Svo intake

    Default Svo intake

Anyone out there run a Esslinger svo intake on there oval port steel head? If so what kind of mods are required to make it work? Thinking it might work with a little work but don't want to buy one if its not going to.

Way different. I converted one years ago but the heads need welded and things aren't worth a (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) afterwards for durability. Get the round port 2.0 ranger intake Laramee use to do or the esslinger intake and work it some. That will be plenty good unless you want to build some type sheetmetal deal.

Are the ports spaced the same on the esslinger svo intake and the ranger one? Both round right? Is it just the bolt holes are different but the ports line up?

The SVO intake port centerline is 4.166 I believe on the SVO intake and stock is everywhere. Bolt holes aren't close either.Putting an SVO intake on a stock head is Like trying to put a square peg in a round hole.
