    what is the thickness of a stock 2300 head i mic mine from the bottom to were the valve cover sits and was 3.768 and its been shaved enough to were the triangle spot onthe bottom of the head is smooth

    stock is 3.800..so yours is milled 38 thousandths...not much at all
    No matter how hard you try...you cant fix stupid!!!

    it was measued wrong went back and checked th combustion chambers and they r at 40 cc

    that has nothing to do with the height from the head gasket surface and the valve cover gasket surface. cutting the head will change the chamber size but you still didn't say what the new measurement was. if the oil passage on the head surface was smooth i would say it has been cut at least 0.100 or more.
