I wanna say they had a wood built high banked track back in the early 1920s. I saw a pic of it at NSCHoF in Knoxville. I thought it was scary fast.

When I was a kid, a old guy in the neighborhood that owned a Midget told me about the post war midget races at Soldier field. He said they had crowds of 50,000 there.
