I use this on my decks http://www.goodson.com/SS-4U-1-1_4_Wide_Super_Scraper/ If any of my customers use a scuffy pad on any of my decks so far from what I have seen I have to resurface cause they are not flat any more. And a scuffy pad sure does no duplicate what CNC can do for a finish.

yeah I would never use those abrasive pads on a flat sealing surface..I use a razor blade to clean the gasket and then an oil stone over the entire surface..
Those pads are not abrasive, they are rubber, some softer than others
ive used them to remove decals, and not mess up paint. I know a lot
of ase mechanics that use them for gasket removal without any problems.
the guys telling you not to use the wheels are right. even the bristle brush pads in that video are abrasive filled. that garbage gets in every part of your engine and they do take material away. the abrasive can ruin bearings and the particles are to small for oil filters to catch. use a razor blade.
