    Default Spring Question

The track I run at has a real bad dip comming into one of the turns and when the car unloads it pushes real bad up the track. Can I incress the spring rate to help and if so what would be in the ball park range or is there anything else I could to to help the car. I run a 1000 on the right front on a 3400lbs monte carlo

To control the bounce, you need to look at shocks, not spring rates.

    that is the problem...shocks
if you run an easy up shock, with a 1000# spring, the shock is not controlling rebound.
your motion ratio of your lower a-arm is 25%
so your right front spring that is a 1000#, at the ball joint is 250#
if your easy up shock is say 100# of rebound, it is actually 25# with motion ratio figured in
    NOT near enough shock control
you need something with more rebound control.
I think there should be lifeguards in the genepool.
