Sportmods use a 23" straight bar on the backside of the rearend, are you inquiring about a short bar?

Sure, I have a customer that has an IMCA sportmod and regularly competes and wins against B-mods with J-bars.

I have a friend in a imca mod on a short track around here that ran a straight bar to the pinion mount under the pinion and had to much forward bite it was unreal... but the track was so small he could get away with it

this was a common set up once the new ump b mod rules will also mandate this set up as the imca sportsmods do now not sure about usra.

racincowboy3 I ran that set up with the low straight bar in my limited mod a couple years ago before that track closed and it worked great. tons of forward bite and smooth corner entry.

The same theories should still apply but an advantage is the mount moves less then when mounted on the front. It's less affected by the throttle and traction.

When running the short straight bar below the pinion, what did you run for split between mounting points?
