Default Under NASCAR sanction, Bloomquist would have kept Dream win

    http://insidedirtracing.com/under-na...ept-dream-win/

NASCAR allows drivers to keep wins when their cars fail post-race inspection then issues fines and other punishments. Dirt racing typically takes wins away.

This column offers a comparison of the two using Bloomquist at Eldora and Kasey Kahne at Charlotte as examples.

And Bloomquist isn't running for UMP points. So if UMP decided to fine and take points for him. What good would that do?

I think the comparison is horrible.

Wish people would just let this go with Bloomquist. He screwed up. Why do you think he hasn't said anything about it?

If anyone thinks that an added 25 lbs would have made that big of a difference in the outcome of that race; people really need to step back and reevaluate! Either way they would have crossed the line in the same order. Period.

The fastest car still won. Had Owens not been there at the end, the race was over. Davenport was coming.

If your aunt had balls she'd be your uncle, is basically what the story boils down to.

Some of these stories are worth reading, I hope they don't keep these nascar comparisons up.

Did anyone actually read the article? The writer basically sums it up at the end that if there are rules, everyone must follow them no matter who or what the infraction is. You break the rules, you don't deserve the win.

Do you mean that everyone would face the same consequences .....NO MATTER WHAT THEIR LAST NAME MIGHT BE???

That's a novel idea..............someone should suggest that at the next wrg board meeting.

And if nascar sanctioned the dream , the stands would be half empty, the hot dogs would be triple the price and the racing , qualifying and points battle would be nascar-like.

    Oh goody!!!

How many dirt tracks does NASCAR in fact sanction under the Whelen All American Series? Isn't Cedar Lake one right off the top of my head along with at least another seven or eight for sure?

I doubt it, 25 pounds is 25 pounds. Davenport would have won. there is a reason why 2300 is a rule!
