I've never been to the track before, just curious how the track will hold up with that many laps being put on it over a couple day period.
What's the seating like? I watched a couple videos from the place and it didn't look like there was a whole lot of seating?

There is plenty of seating both on front & back stretch, they always have huge car counts at Tyler co. the track holds up real well.

It actually looks pretty good as of now compared to the June we've had. It looks like a 30-40% each day of a stray storm but nothing that would amount to anything. The track is VERY determined to race this event so it won't be quick to be delayed or canceled for any reason. The rain date if needed is Sunday which is looking good as well.

For info on the event visit www.racethemega.com or follow on Facebo0k for lots of updates throughout the week.

Massive “Mega in the Mountains” Weekend at Tyler County Continues UFo Flight through July!

(Mars, PA) The UFo Championship will march into the month of July with two spectacular events. “Revolution 2015” at Hesston Speedway will pay $4,000 to win on July 2. Then the following weekend, UFo will be part of one of the biggest summer events in the region at “Mega in the Mountains” weekend at Tyler County Speedway on July 9-10-11. The UFo Super Late Models will race for $12,000 possible to win in a companion $16,000 possible to win event for the Renegades of Dirt E-mods.

The blockbuster event of the 2015 summer is approaching quickly. Tyler County Speedway will pay out over $125,000 for the “Mega in the Mountains” weekend presented by Waters Edge Oilfield Serivces on July 9-10-11. The Renegades of Dirt E-mods will race for $16,000 possible to win while the UFo Super Late Models will race for $12,000 possible to win in one of the most exciting racing formats ever and excellent ticket pricing.

The weekend will kick off on Thursday, July 9 with open practice sessions. Quick Time Suspension will pay a $50 bonus for the Super Late Model that turns the fastest practice lap that night.

On Friday, July 10, the UFo Super Late Models will be showcased in the first half of their “Mega-88.” They will compete in a full racing program leading into a 44-lap, $5,000 to win feature race. The Renegades of Dirt E-mods will compete in dual sets of heat races, with the second set starting in reverse order of the lineup for the first set. The passing points system totaled from both heat races will determine the initial qualifiers from the heat races for the “Mega-100” E-mod feature. FASTRAK Pro-Late Models, STARS Mod-Lites, EDGE Hot Mods and FWD’s will race in their heat races as well as the EDGE Hot Mod consolation. The UFo Super Late Model starting grid for Friday is slated at 20 cars on the quarter mile track.

On Saturday, July 11, the UFo Super Late Models will compete in another 44 lap feature event paying $5,000 to the winner. The top 12 will be locked in and inverted from Friday’s feature, with the remaining positions for Saturday’s feature being determined by additional qualifying races on that night. A $2,000 ASi Racewear Alien Annihilation Awared makes it $12,000 possible to win for the UFo Super Late Models if the same driver wins both features. The UFo Super Late Model starting grid for Saturday will be determined by car count. Less than 28 cars will see 20 start, 28 to 31 cars will see 22 start and 32+ will see 24 start.

The Renegades of Dirt E-mods will race in their consolation and last chance races to determine the final starters for the $12,000 to win, $1,200 to start, 30 car, “Mega-100” feature. The leaders of laps 25 will be paid a $600 bonus from Octane Race Products with another $600 bonus paid to the leader of lap 75. The leader of lap 50 being paid a whopping $1,200 bonus sponsored by Dirt Modified Magazine. Individual lap money pushes the E-mod payoff to $16,000 possible to win. Also, an non-qualifiers Adrenaline Performance Products E-mod B-feature will be run paying $700 to win and $275 to start. All other non-qualifiers will receive $200.

The FASTRAK Pro-Late Models will race 35 laps for $3,000 to win on Saturday night. STARS Mod-Lites will race 30 laps for $1,200 to win. EDGE Hot Mods will go 25 laps for $1,200 to win and FWD’s will race 20 laps for $250 to win. Consolation races for FASTRAK Pro-Lates and STARS Mod-Lites will also be run.

UFo Super Late Model car and weight rules will apply for this event. Super Late Models at Tyler County will be required to run an American Racer 44 or harder or Hoosier 32 or harder, with a minimum 32 durometer ready. UFo twin feature procedures will be used to award circuit points, with each feature awarding half-points and heat points given for Friday’s heat races only. Super Late Model drivers can earn up to $80 extra by entering early. Early entries will receive $30 extra each night if they finishing in positions 14 or farther, and the early entry fee will be reduced from $40 to $20. Drivers are reminded that Westhold (yellow) transponders are required and may be rented for $30 at the track. RACEceiver radios are also required on all drivers. Since it's basically unsanctioned you won't have to worry about them canceling after the first drop of rain so their cars don't get muddy like the big sanctions do.
