$20,000 to win super late models at the Taj Mahal of dirt tracks August 6th - 1 day show-

CARNESVILLE, Georgia (July 29, 2016) If you have never been there, ask anyone that has. There is no nicer, neater, better maintained facility in the entire United States. Neatly cut grass and a lot of it, pit parking that has Musco lightning, lights on the track that make it look almost like daylight, reasonabley priced restaurant quality food, aluminum grandstands, many with seat backs, a sound system that would challenge a rock concert, elevators, suites, you name it and it’s there. Anything you could imagine at a speedway.

Virginia Motor Speedway is owned and operated by the Sawyer family who built Richmond International Speedway into one of the most lliked facilitiese in the Cup Series by race fans and drivers alike. To say track management and staff are accommodating is an understatement. Recently in the grips of a hs at wave the Sawyers went to the trouble of temporarily installing ‘misters’ in the grandstands and drivers were provided with water.

How the Sawyers do things, the way they go about their business is something every fan, team and even other track owners need to experience. It truly is the Taj Mahal of dirt track racing venues. There is no messing around at VMS. Fans will wonder do we go get a hot dog or will they be racing before we can get back to our seat? In, fact it is common to see a $20,000 To Win Super Late Model event stretched over two two days, the Sawyers however wanted to hold the event in one day. One ticket, one day, $20,000 To Win

The event will be sanctioned by Stan Lester’s ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series as it has been the last several years. Everyone in the business knows if you run ULTIMATE, things will be straight. Same to all, tire lab testing and the penalties will be enforced on all rules regardless of what your last name might be. They have proven it time and again. With a qualifying format by group then everyone running heats and 1 or 2 last chance races, it’s sure to be a fan favorite.

The ULTIMATE series has both brand of tires in limited compounds in an attempt to accommodate race teams from everywhere. www.ultimatesupers.com for tire info.

    Complete payout for the USA 100. $20,000, $10,000, $5000, $3000, $2000, $1750, $1500, $1250, $1100, $1000, $900, $875, $850, $825, $800, $775, $750, $725, $700, $675, $650, $625, $600, $575.

Yup. Lucas Oil Speedway is THE finest track i've ever been to. Period. And I will include many NASCRAP tracks in that.

No, the state took most of the pits for the new I-69 interchange. Racing is done at KLMS.

Did the owner take a beating or did the state give him a good check?

Can't wait to make the trek down rt. 17. Any word on who will be there? If any of the Lucas guys (off) or Outlaw guys (under suspension ) will go for the 20k. Also curious about the Ultimate regulars who didn't bother to run the DE/Winchester /Potomac part of the mini series- if the 20k will lure them up north....
