Rr spring rate when using soft rf
Have had some success using a soft rf like the new rocket setup, but car is always too loose (but fast) Was wondering if by softening the rf, it needs a softer rr to compensate. I understand that roll couple theory would say after softening front and leaving the rear it would be looser.

Short answer: No. You would be shocked the RR springs some guys are running. It is more of a momentum setup.

What r/r are some guys running?

Why so soft? (grin)

Also seen a dual stage that locks out to a 500

Excellent for hammer down track conditions. Free on entry, free on exit.

I was told they used it to prevent mid corner squat...not sure why but I've seen things on the RR I haven't ever seen it's exciting and frustrating it seems to be a lot like BBSS on asphalt and just as sensitive lol

any one seen a soft RR with a bump stop? I tkink it would work with with the proper shock , ie: soft comp and stiff rebound....

I had a deal like that 3 years ago that worked very well at one particular track. 175# RR with a particular rollerskate wheel setup.

Yeah seemed to be getting on it way too late causing loss of side bite
-
Assuming that's for qualifying right? Can't be good for small track that goes slick for the feature can it?
-
Depends on the bump stop timing more RR spring can give you entry sidebite there are alot of variables. ALOT.

All about your rates and the timing. It can be anything you want it to be.

I was on a 300 quite a while ago on a banked half mile. Tried a 400 for a few. Didn't have the rf technology we have now though.

Can't remember the year now, but it's been a while. Remember when James Ince left nascar and started building Late Models? The house car ran this for a little while:
LF 250
RF 500
LF 500
RR 500

^^^ LR 500? I believe Ince is selling his jig/s on Racingjunk.
I assume among other changes with a heavier RR, there would at least be an accompanying change in the angle of the RRU link (lower it) to reduce birdcage indexing? It seems like the majority of the faster cars around my area don't have too much angle in their RRU link.

I honestly can't remember if this was before or after the LR behind, seem like is was later then 98ish but my memory sucks any more, lol.
James sold out a long time ago and think it went thru several owners since then, so no idea on if the jig is remotely anything close to what James had at the time he was running it.
