Some of you are seriously pathetic. There would be no race this weekend if it wasn't for that sh!thole town !!! A large percentage of the racers competing are from that area, a large percentage of the fans attending will be from that area, and a large percentage of the people working there are from that area.
Some of you keyboard loud mouths should walk up to some of those people and tell them what a sh!thole town they are from.

Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

You make a very, very good and valid point. However, sometimes it's so easy it's impossible to resist!! LOL!!

Pathetic? LOL!! Probably not. Most of those people of which you speak, the racers, fans and the people working there probably would wholeheartedly agree that you'd better keep your wits about you in and around St. Louis. They have to deal with it all every day.

For you people wanting to come to the race, stay outside of the 270 south loop. South St.Louis county is a fairly safe area. On the IL side stay around the Ofallon or Shiloh area off of 64. If you need advise I can steer you in the right direction.
The area downtown where all the haulers are parked is in a crap hole. The north side of the dome area is pretty much in the projects. Lots of thugs walking around just looking for an opportunity to take advantage of a working man. Travel safe and with a crowd. Keep your head on a swivel if you get away from the crowd. I've lived in the STL area for 52 years and I've never seen it as bad as it is now.
I live on the extreme south side of the STL county near Arnold. Not a bad area at all. But things can happen anywhere.

I would definitely stay south of the dome.

Trailer has been found, contents are missing as well as the truck.

All racers should put a GPS dongle in their transporters, you can shut it down from a smart phone or computer plus it emails you a location every 20 seconds is stolen. I have them in all my stuff great piece of mind.

Robbie Bauman Jr is one of my best friends. They did recover the trailer and it is back home with them. Unfortunately the contents (racing parts, generator, driving suit, etc...) are gone. The truck is not found, and probably won't be. The car and needed equipment were unloaded in the dome. A huge thank you to all the people who donated things like a helmet and driving suit so Robbie could run the race. He is a small budget local racer that wanted to do this weekend to experience it. He never gave up and even won the d main on Saturday. The racing community came together to help make sure he was able to make this dream happen. A lot of guys would have given up and not even tried to race. He didn't and had a good time. Great job to Robbie and all of the family and friends that support him.

On the way home Sunday we passed what looked like a hauler being pulled by something like a dump truck, on the east side. Was that him?

Good for him, glad he still stuck it out and gave it a shot. Probably never find the pos that did it sadly.

Thievery has become a partially accepted cottage industry within our society. The modern reality has evolved into a mindset that if the owner doesn't do all of what it takes to completely insure that their hard earned possessions aren't stealable those hard earned possessions are fair game and it's their fault and they deserve to have their things stolen. The risk reward ratio is skewed in favor of people taking their chances because if they happen to get caught it's little more than a slap on the wrist. And, if the owner shoots them, or even shoots at them in an attempt to stop the thieves they are in more trouble than the thieves themselves.
It's really screwed up, but it's what society has become. The blame is spread in so many different directions it's futile to even begin to identify it.
I FUKKING HATE THIEVES!!!

Thanks everyone for the kind words everyone. We were fortunate enough to get our trailer back, as DirtRace09 stated. However, all contents were gone. We were able to pick up a D-Main win on Saturday, which was the highlight of the weekend... we would like everyone to continue sharing the posts, and please be on the lookout for the contents that are still out there missing.
We are holding our annual Race Party on January 21st, 2017 in Farmington, IL. We ARE accepting donations for the Live and Silent Auction as well... if you'd like to donate, please message the Bauman Motorsports Facebook Page! www.facebook.com/baumanmotorsports30
