Eastbay and Volusia
What are the support classes at each track for WoO and Lucas? Thanks.

The Stranger: Somebody left the door open and the wrong dogs came home.

East Bay lates only. Volusia has UMP mods on Mon. and Tues., Then Big Block Mods the rest of the week.
-
The East Coast Big Block Modified's put on a great show at Volusia. Really can't consider the BBM's to be a support class. They put on as good of a show as anything that races at Volusia during Speedweeks.
-
I haven't watched them yet so that will be exciting then.

been going down to speedweeks for 25 years now and the big blocks are always great. i actually think there races are better that the late models alot of the time. i have seen them at numerous tracks in ohio and pennsylvania and the one thing you will definitely notice is they aren't nearly as fast as the supers are. racing is always very competitive though.

Anyone know of Hotel deals near Daytona Beach for Volusia if you mention WoO or Speedweeks when making reservations? Thanks.

Matt sheppard & stewart frieson are the big dogs to beat. Frieson moved on to truck series so idk if he will be there. Watch for a handful of others to be competitive in the BB MODS like danny johnson, brett hearn, larry wright, hiars guy, phelps in the troyer house car, and more.
You will enjoy them and have fun!

Big Block modifieds are great at Volusia, real modified racing there these guys draw for position in heats buckle up and race and do not cry about it like the late models where they have the train racing format in full force.

Do they limit them to that? Do they have to run a steel block and heads? Back in the day they ran up to 512 cui. I was always partial to the 498 cui. Now they can go to above 700 inch. I think they have a crate motor at 572 inches.

Not a 100%, but I thought 468 was there main motor or whatever.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

1 of the best races i saw last speedweek was a big block race at Volusia. When Hearn came from way back in the field to win it. That and the race Clanton won in the last few laps and barely beat Bloomquist to the line
