I noticed some talk in the past about some cars running half leafs with a j bar and with another bar of some sort on RR. I have a leaf late model i was wanting to work with this setup. Anyone that had this or someone that knows first hand about this setup info would be much appreciated.

Noticed in the history of the forum where someone mentioned putting panhard bar to rear, not sure where or how exactly to mount. I read where someone mentioned a bar on RR but didn't ilaburate. Also was wondering if mounting points of where leafs mount to frame were raised. Thanks for any input.

LR half leaf clamped to the axle.... RR floated....
Mount the j-bar how you see most today.... LS Of frame to RS OF PINION
On the front of the leafs, cut the part off that holes the bushing and make a bracket that will bolt on the the leaf to accept a rod end. On the Brackett on the chassis, make it about 4-5" wide and allow the rod ends to slide on the bolt..... for when the rear end moves laterally. Start with LR eye about 3" above center of axle. Rr about level with axle. Keep lowering blocks to a minimum

front bracket looked like 2 pieces of flat steel w/4 holes drilled in them, through the leaf. Then, a bushing was welded in the middle so you could bolt a heim to it.
Lowering blocks were used on some cars. Just depends on how new the chassis was. Also, we went to composite leafs, and some cars even used a birdcage w/wishbone on the right side instead of a leaf. Hope this helps.
