    Default Powell Memorial at Volusia

Headed down to Daytona Beach for a weeks vacation Saturday morning. Gonna ride over and check out the action. I see Bronson will be there. Who else is coming and where's the best place to sit. Thanks

Late models in SGA and FL are and have been for quite some time, LLM.

Only super shows in the region are generally Speedweeks and a few random others.

Can you remember the last "top regional guy" who came to a race in your area that wasn't sanctioned?

I'm sure it will be a great show with the best that Florida and South Georgia have to offer. You know, like it always is.

Default Sorry Mi Fan, bit he is right

I lived about 40 min from Volusia for 43 years. The late models in Fl and South Georgia are some sort of unique hybrid slm/llm rules unique to only there. I moved to the Midwest 2 years ago to see real SLM, 410 sprints, and midgets, all of which you will never see in Florida other then speed weeks in February. (still no midgets then either lol)

the cars in south ga-fl are the same as supers except the motor, there is a 362 motor, a spec motor and several crates you can run that very seldom if at all get teched anymore and a spec 21, crate, and spec 1350 at some tracks but most are spec 21. eastbay has tire tested a couple times but thats about it anymore on tire checking and they mostly only check the RR and tell you thats all there going to check. VSP vary seldom even takes the hood off much less take the time to check tires or bodies. According to VSP this will be the last race for the 362 motor and will be specs (NLMSS) and crates for the rest of season
