good track......I wonder why Mike Mouch is trying to sell. No World of Outlaws this year was kinda a hint there might be issues.

In one of the pictures it kind of looks like there was a motocross track in the middle at one time.

Good question, Blackie. There was some noise made on Facebook and other social media last year that Pecatonica was going to host some racing events but it never materialized. Pecatonica was/is a very nice facility. We went to a few late model and Badger Midget shows there more than a decade ago and we really enjoyed the racing there. Pecatonica is a true 1/2 mile and I think that may well have a lot to do with it being inactive. The cost of 800 horsepower and the lack of longevity of those horses makes those big ol' 1/2 miles somewhat untenable. Same goes for the midgets with 1/2 the horsepower. Those bigger tracks are hard on equipment that costs 30K for 380 to 400 horse.

Mikes dad is in very bad shape health wise. He is the money behind the track. Yes there was a mx track in the middle and went around the outide of turn 4 also. My opinion is the track started going downhill when he tore up the 1/2 and made the 3/8 track.

the racing itself has been better on the 3/8's, the 1/2 set it apart from the rest of the tracks in Michigan but car counts were getting pretty dismal as well until they converted. they need to build a consistent weekly program seems pretty hit and miss on what and if they run every Friday. and I'm sure Mikes dad’s health has made for a tough year for the family and trying to operate the track at the same time. hopefully everything works out for them Mikes a nice guy and has put on a lot of big shows for Michigan fans

Differing opinions on the fairboard, couldn't get enough sponsorship, lack of a big pocket book to carry thevtrack a few yeats to get established. The Freeport group talking about trying to build a new track didn't help.

I wasnt involved with that group bit planned on helping however I could. I. Still have an idea in my mind for that track I think would be killer. However outside of fair time o think attendance would be terrible
