Eldora record crowd for The World

Need to add seating next year. I don't know why they don t to-do the frontstreach seating and build it up bigger. Would help to build bigger concessions under it then. Something like knoxville

Just seen this on Adam Sterns twitter feed......Roger Slack cites local sheriff estimate of crowd around 25K on Saturday night which is the largest single-day attendance in track history.

So was the attendance record official or was it some cop saying there were lots of people there?

I don't believe this was a record breaking crowd. I've been going to the World for 30 years and back in the day when Earl had it they had 200+ cars and there were more fans. 25 years or so ago they never gave stats on how many were in attendance and a lot of that had to do with Earl not wanting the IRS and uncle Sam to know. He could have 30,000 people there and tell uncle Sam he had close to 5,000. I'd hate to know how much cash he had buried in his back yard
