    Default Ponderosa Speedway - Joke!

Ponderosa Speedway closed for about 10 days to avoid running and, of course, paying the sanctioning fee for a LODLMS race. Then, immediately after reopening they annouce a Southern Nationals $15K to win race, what is going on, seems like a true abuse of the system, leaving a single race at Lawrenceburg a few weeks back on a busy weekend.......hopefully the Lucas sanctioning body takes notice and never goes back.

The SNBS race was on their schedule since the beginning of the year.

The track has changed promoters since then. The promoters have had a hard time with car counts, driver drama and filling the stands and didnt have the funds to pay Lucas. They have spent time and money on the track but the econmy had really hit the area hard.Nothing shady just an unfortunate turn of events.

Never been there but was going for the Lucas race. Probably never go now. Thought the doors were closed.

I really like Ponderosa. There's something about that place. Always seems to hit it on a bad track prep night it seems.

The Southern Nationals Bonus Series will sanction the Fall Classic paying $15,000 to win on October 13/14 at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY.

You can't pay the sanctioning fee with no butts in the stands.
