Favorite driver that doesn't follow a national series?
Who is your favorite driver that doesn't follow a national series and is up-and-coming that people should keep an eye on?
-
It's way early yet, and I always lean towards guys that come from big blocks, but I'll go with Mike Maresca.

Anyone cool enough to run any of about 5 Ford head styles all deemed too good for OUTLAW sprint car racing

Derek Doll, Jared Hawkins, Zack Dohm, Tyler Carpenter

Been a Jason Feger fan for years, also Nick Latham.
-
Tyler Carpenter, Doug Drown, Dave Hess Jr, Jason Montgomery.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

Mike Maresca has caught my attention with his good showings during speedweek. I believe they said last night that he will follow the WoO tour this year.

Yeah, as of now that’s the plan.

Far from up and coming, but I root for 55 VanWormer. I'll second everyone tossing Tyler Carpenter's name out there.
Anyone know what ever became of Michael Lake, kid from last years winternats?
Grumpy old dirt track fan. Anti-Sanction. Anti-Social. Anti-Media. Anti-SocialMedia. Anti-Climatic.

Anyone familiar with Tyler Bruening? He's made both shows at Volusia and had a great run the first night. He was struggling last night but I think a lot of people were due to viability.

Lake traveled a good bit last year, he ran in my area a bunch. I seen at the end of last season they were going to cut back on racing this year, and switching to rocket cars from longhorn.
It sounds like money dried up is the reasoning for cutting back.

Bobby Lake, Michael Lake's team owner and grandfather, has health issues. They're supposed to run local shows.

I would love to see what Feger could do in a top ride
-
Tyler Bruening, Jason Rauen & Chris Simpson.
-
Mike norris and Tyler carpenter

Yes. Been watching him in the Upper Midwest for several years - he's had a lot of success in IMCA LM but has started running more and more open shows in recent years with decent results.
