Here is an idea, that would be really cool.

At random points during the race, they drop down a steel leader, say 1/2 winch wire, nice and taught at a certain height, say 52 - 54 inches. All the way across the track, front and back stretch. If you come screaming down that straight away with your spoiler all stuck up in the air, the wire well catch it, and rip it right off the car.

Red flag the race, clean up in isle 1 and then proceed !

I think it will work, and add some excitement too !! You could get Old Ladys down there drawing numbers on which lap the wire gets dropped, hell add some betting lanes too.
