3500 be plenty. Just slow. I have a 85 I think from tractor supply with synthetic rope (must have) and it's awesome. You're only rolling a 2200 lb car. Not snatching it out of mud. Hope that helps.
Might think about the nights your loading up junk and the car won't roll at all. You know, the nights when it takes two wreckers to get it too your trailer. Ugh....I use a 6000lb Rule brand winch and it works well.

That's when I call a roll back so I don't ruin my trailer. Lol
Or when you get stuck in a quick rain storm. I did the smaller ATV type winch at first, and it worked. But like stated...slowly. Then whatever mechanism actually holds it in place internally wore out, and it didn't want to hold the car in place if I was parked on an incline.
I now use an 8500 Superwinch and like it. I've also gotten a remote, which is very nice!
